The Story about 2 Line Mediation
The name “2 Line Mediation” reflects both our founder’s identity and our philosophy. Founded by Thulani Kunene, whose name itself carries the meaning of peaceful mediation, our practice embodies the core principle of mediation: bringing two perspectives together to find a shared path forward.
Thulani established 2 Line Mediation with a clear vision: to offer South African families an alternative to adversarial conflict resolution. Having witnessed firsthand the emotional and financial toll that litigation takes on families, particularly when children are involved, he recognised the need for a more humane, effective approach.
Today, 2 Line Mediation serves families across Johannesburg, Gauteng and throughout South Africa, offering mediation services that honour the complexity of family relationships whilst providing practical, legally sound solutions.
